RGJ story about the "controversial" statement Carson Now about the protests Douglas Sheriff Dan Coverly made national headlines when he told the library district not to bother calling 911 after the library made a statement in support of Black Lives Matter. Coverly took heat because his facetious remark was taken seriously and used to criticize him. Apparently, only the left can make dramatic and hyperbolic statements. As a result, a BLM protest is scheduled to take place near the sheriff's station between 10 AM - 5 PM Saturday, August 8. Counter-protests are planned as well. We predict that the BLM supporters will be young college kids and mostly white liberals. It will probably not get out of hand. Even so, be aware and keep your head on a swivel. Comments are closed.
