Never Leave Your House to Confront a Mob

So a bunch of leftists were doing something in Missouri. I don't know the details, I don't care. What we're looking at is the homeowners' actions.

Don't leave your house. Little good can come of it. These two folks just pissed off the lynch mob by feeding into the mob's fury and delusions. ​Now the leftists have doxxed the male homeowner, an attorney, and will be trying to put him out of business and have bar complaints filed against him.

​The wife in particular is probably guilty of brandishing, unless the prosecutor there is really based and on the side of Americans (and not Communists).

Unless a greater penalty is provided in NRS 202.287, a person having, carrying or procuring from another person any dirk, dirk-knife, sword, sword cane, pistol, gun or other deadly weapon, who, in the presence of two or more persons, draws or exhibits any of such deadly weapons in a rude, angry or threatening manner not in necessary self-defense, or who in any manner unlawfully uses that weapon in any fight or quarrel, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

I'd be pissed off too if a mob came to my house, but the way the woman is waving the gun around with poor trigger discipline and yelling at the crowd crosses a line.

With her husband being an attorney, they can afford a good defense attorney. It would be pretty hard for a jury to convict these people of brandishing when their house was surrounded by a mob. Still, take no chances, especially with people too dumb to get out of jury duty.

Secondly, what if the mob turned on them and they needed to fire in self-defense? If some politically motivated prosecutor wanted to pillory them, the prosecution could argue that by going outside, they were "picking a fight" and thus had a duty to retreat. Self-defense charges could become second degree murder. 

Finally, your house is your castle. In most states, someone trying to break in can be shot dead under the presumption they wished you serious harm. You are much safer inside. Never breach your perimeter. Make the enemy's job harder.
