Las Vegas police are re-opening the Records and Fingerprint Bureau on Tuesday, May 5. All visitors will be required to wear masks and are encouraged to wait outside to be summoned to their appointment via phone. CCW applicants are advising that their fingerprint dates have been pushed back by a month (likely due to demand and the delay in re-opening the Bureau). The current interpretation by police is that the 120 day waiting period starts from the date of fingerprinting, not application, meaning some waits for CCWs may take six months or so for some. Extreme wait times for issuance and renewals is to be expected for the foreseeable future. Support the removal of a government permit to carry a firearm. Comments are closed.
