We reported this back in 2019 where it appeared then the deceased had a gun in his hand and had a suicide note. The details being claimed in the Review-Journal are interesting. As no one was criminally charged, the furtive movement claim for self-defense was enough for it to be justifiable homicide. The story the attorney paints is bad, but it's his job to make it look ugly.
It sure would be nice to read the police report and see the video first hand, but we here don't have the time or the money for the public record requests.
Note that there is no legal protection for self-defense shootings outside your home or vehicle.
